Guests from Orenburg and Moscow came to Belousiha fishing camp during the first fishing week. A team of eight anglers.
It's no secret that spring happened early on the Kola Peninsula, the water level in the rivers is not normal for this month, less than usual. During the week there were cloudy days and absolutely sunny also. The winds blew predominantly from the north. The water temperature on the Belousiha is 11-13 degrees, in Voronya 7-9.
The whole week we fished mainly on Belousiha. The low level of the water, its transparency, the raises of the fish made it clear that the fish were already entering the river. Fish in batches occupy their favorite pools - 3 steps, Birch, Glinka, Golden, Canyon. At the Swedish Table, the fish always make a stop to rest before another dash through the rapids.
Fish were caught every day, and in first days there were many losts of the salmon. Bombers and hitches were already working well in middle water, five fish were caught on these surface flies. Of the wet ones, Willigan, Red Francis, Cascade worked.
All guests managed to catch at least one fish in their standings, for the majority it was the first Atlantic salmon in their life. Also catches included good trout and grayling, and a small flock of pink salmon was spotted in the lower reaches of the river at the end of the week.
On the last day we decided to go to the Voronya. In addition to two kelts, there was a fight with fresh salmon, 10 kg +, we had to run for about 400 meters, the fight lasted 15 minutes, and he got off not so far from the net.
For the first week the fishing was quite successful. All anglers were left with trophies. The Belousiha River pleases with catches and activity. There is definitely a large first fish on Voronya river, but so far it has not been possible to catch it.
